Among
America's Leading Lawyers
July 25, 2007 – The 2007 edition of Chambers USA listed the litigation practice
of Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, P.A. among Florida’s Leading Law Firms and
named attorneys Joanne M. O’Connor
and Sidney A. Stubbs, Jr. among Florida’s
Leading Lawyers.
Chambers USA is recognized for the quality of its investigations by experienced
researchers who select attorneys for inclusion by conducting thousands of
in-depth interviews with firm clients, key in-house counsel and practicing
lawyers. Inclusion is based solely on merit. The 2007 edition of Chambers USA
had this to say:
About Joanne O’Connor: Indicative of the talented young lawyers coming up
through the ranks, Joanne O’Connor is “astute at managing trial preparation
and discovery in major disputes.”
About Sid Stubbs: Much in demand for advice on malpractice
and law firm break-up litigation, Stubbs is considered an outstanding strategist
well versed in the local court system: “with Sid, you are getting a lawyer
who has been through countless battles and, as a result, you know you are
getting legal and practical advice from a truly seasoned trial attorney.”
About
Jones Foster Johnston & Stubbs, P.A.: In existence for almost a
century, this is the oldest firm in Palm Beach County and, following its merger
with Berrocal & Wilkins in Jupiter, it is now home to 36 attorneys across two
offices. Its 17-strong litigation department has been impressing clients for
many years and although the firm’s fortunes have historically rested on the
shoulders of one or two of its star trial lawyers, clients now describe the
group as being “full of fine attorneys who are business-oriented, responsive and
reasonable with respect to fees. ” Providing a “top-quality service that is on
a par with larger, more intuitional firms,” this outfit covers a wide range of
litigation; in particular it is in legal malpractice cases, probate and trust
litigation, and real estate litigation that it is seen to shine brightest.
