Wade, a shareholder with the firm since 2002, is a litigator uniquely experienced in the areas of complex commercial law, securities law, probate, products liability, construction, insurance bad faith and wrongful death.  He has been listed as one of South Florida's Up and Coming Attorneys by the South Florida Legal Guide and was recently listed as one of Florida's Top Attorneys by Florida Trend Magazine.  Since joining Jones Foster in 1998, Wade has litigated a broad range of matters at all levels from trial and post-judgment matters through appeal at both the intermediate appellate and supreme court levels. 

 

Wade is a graduate of Georgetown University and of Boston University School of Law.  While obtaining his law degree, Wade also studied International Relations at the graduate level at Boston University and at Harvard University.  He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, Past-President of the Young Lawyers Section of the Palm Beach County Bar Association and an ex-officio a member of the Board of Governors of the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar.  He is also a member of the Bars of the District Courts for the Southern, Northern and Middle Districts of Florida, and of the Bar of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
 

Practice Highlights

• Sued a major brokerage firm for fraudulently selling $32 million of inappropriate, underperforming and high-priced annuities to a 78 year-old man with failing mental abilities.  After a six-week trial, Wade and his team obtained a $7.75 million verdict, including $1.75 million in punitive damages, against the defendants.

• Successfully vacated a $2 million judgment entered against a hedge fund manager who, at the time of the default judgment's entry, was not represented by counsel and was suffering from severe mental distress caused by the financial collapse following the 09/11 attacks.
